Consent to Let - Gen H Requirements

All lenders have their own requirements when it comes to consent to let. This page sets out to enlighten residential conveyancing practitioners on the Gen H solicitors panel where their client intends to rent out their property. Gen H requirements state that if prior to completion of the conveyancing retainer, the borrower informs you of an intention to let the property you should advise the borrower that any letting of the property is prohibited without prior consent to let from Gen H. If the borrower wishes to let the property after completion then an application for consent to let should be made to Gen H by the borrower.
