Consent to Let - Platform Requirements

All lenders have their own requirements when it comes to consent to let. This page sets out to enlighten property law firms on the Platform solicitors panel where their non-lender client proposes to let out their property. Platform requirements state that if in advance of completion of the conveyancing retainer, the borrower informs you of an intention to let the property you should advise the borrower that any letting of the property is prohibited without prior consent to let from Platform. If the borrower wishes to let the property after completion then an application for consent to let should be made to Platform by the borrower.
